Overall during these two days I felt pretty good. A little “pookie” as I would call it, not as energized as I had been in the past few days but that could be due to other things.
Day 5: Thursday Jan 10, 2013
Breakfast: 2 eggs with hot sauce
Lunch: Tomato soup, 2 hard-boiled eggs, almonds, Braeburn apple, baby carrots
Dinner: London Broil and roasted carrots, sweet potato and broccoli with garlic, salt and pepper
I made dinner Thursday night, my first time making London Broil. I always knew it was pretty easy, I’ve just never gotten around to it. Mainly I just hadn’t found a decent price on them. But Thursday night on my way home, I had to stop at the food store to find something for dinner and I finally saw some decent prices on meat. It is safe to say that our freezer is now fully stocked of just about every meat we could want. Hooray!
Friday was mildly eventful. I got to leave work early and head up to CT for the weekend. My car was in need of my mechanic aka my dad so up to CT I went. I’m always excited to go home, I didn’t think I’d miss it as much as I do. I didn’t think I’d miss my parents, family, dog, my routines as much as I do. So it always feels good to go home. Friday afternoon and night I just got to hangout with the rents and the pup and enjoy a nice fire. Luckily my mom knows I’m doing the Whole30 and was nice enough to make a dinner I could enjoy. The chicken had a little honey in it but I’m not freaking out about it.
Day 6: Friday Jan 11, 2013
Breakfast: 3 eggs with hot sauce (I really need to switch up my breakfast options)
Lunch: 6 slices of leftover London Broil, cup of Bone broth, baby carrots and almonds
Dinner: Orange chicken thighs, roasted cauliflower and carrots, salad with cucumbers and tomatoes with balsamic vinegar and pepper
Finn likes to help build fires! Such a helpful pup!
Toasty toes!
I miss this pup.
It was nice to have a furry cuddle buddy for the weekend. He always makes me excited to go back to CT but more on that later.
Do you get excited to go home?
